Ratiboř

The Headmistress of the Kindergarten Ratiboř, Vsetín District (hereinafter referred to as "the Kindergarten") has established the following criteria, according to which she will proceed in making decisions based on the provisions of Section 165(2)(b)

561/2004 Coll., on pre-school, primary, secondary, higher vocational and other education (hereinafter referred to as the "Education Act"), as amended, on the admission of a child to pre-school education in a kindergarten in the event that the number of applications submitted by the legal representatives of children for admission to pre-school education in a given year exceeds the established capacity of the maximum number of children for the kindergarten.

I.

Pre-school education is organised for children aged from 2 to, as a rule, 6 years. A child under the age of 3 is not legally entitled to admission to kindergarten. From the beginning of the school year following the date on which the child reaches the age of five until the child's compulsory school attendance begins, pre-school education is compulsory, unless otherwise specified below. Age will be assessed at the start of pre-school education (§34(1) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll, Education Act, as amended).

In accordance with Section 34(5) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll., the Education Act, as amended, and Section 50 of Act No. 258/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Public Health, as amended, a kindergarten may only accept a child who has undergone the prescribed regular vaccinations or has proof that he or she is immune to the disease or cannot undergo vaccination due to a permanent contraindication. This does not apply to children who have compulsory pre-school education; proof of compulsory vaccination is not required from these children.

The decision to admit a child with a disability to pre-school education is made by the head teacher on the basis of a written statement from the school counselling centre or, where appropriate, the registering doctor (Section 34(6) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll., the Education Act, as amended).

IV.

Priority is given to children who will be at least three years old before the start of the school year on 31 August 2024 and who are permanent residents of the municipality. In the event that the number of applications for admission exceeds the number of available places, the head teacher sets the following criteria:

• 5 years of age on 31.8.2024...  4 points
• 4 years of age on 31.8.2024...  3 points
• 3 years of age at  31.8.2024..   2 points
• 2 years completed by 31.8.2024... 1 point

2. Permanent residence in the municipality of Ratiboř - in the relevant school district of the given kindergarten (as of the date of enrolment)... 5 points

3. Residence of the child in the municipality of Ratiboř (on the date of enrolment)... 4 points
