ENROLLMENT OF CHILDREN IN PRESCHOOL EDUCATION
The director of the kindergarten operated by Mateřská škola Ratiboř, Vsetín district, in agreement with the founder and in accordance with Section 34(2) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll., on preschool, primary, secondary, higher vocational, and other education, as amended, has established the following specifications for submitting an application for a child's admission to preschool education  for the 2026/2027 school year

Application submission time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

When submitting a completed application for admission of a child to preschool education, the legal guardian shall, upon request, present the child's birth certificate and their ID card for verification of the information in the application.
The location, date, and time for submitting applications for admission to preschool education for the 2026/2027 school year will be posted on the entrance door of the preschool and published on the preschool's website and on the official bulletin board of the municipality of Ratiboř.
Parents can pick up the registration forms in the principal's office (side entrance) on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parents can also use this time to consult about their child's admission to the kindergarten. Another date for picking up the forms is possible after prior telephone agreement with the principal.

CRITERIA FOR ADMITTING CHILDREN TO PRESCHOOL EDUCATION
Directive No. 02/2026, effective from March 2, 2026

The director of the Ratiboř Nursery School, Vsetín district (hereinafter referred to as the "nursery school") has established the following criteria, which will be used in decision-making based on the provisions of Section 165(2)(b) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll., on preschool, primary, secondary, higher vocational, and other education (hereinafter referred to as the "Education Act"), as amended, for the admission of a child to preschool education in the kindergarten in cases where the number of applications submitted by the legal guardians of children for admission to preschool education in a given year exceeds the maximum capacity of the kindergarten.

I.

Preschool education is organized for children aged 2 to 6 years, as a rule. Children under the age of 3 are not legally entitled to admission to kindergarten. From the beginning of the school year following the day on which the child reaches the age of 5 until the child starts compulsory schooling, preschool education is compulsory, unless otherwise specified. Age will be assessed at the start of preschool.

In accordance with Section 34(5) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll., the Education Act, as amended, and Section 50 of Act No. 258/2000 Coll., on the protection of public health, as amended, a nursery school may only admit a child who has undergone the prescribed regular vaccinations or has proof that they are immune to the disease or cannot be vaccinated due to contraindications. This does not apply to children who are subject to compulsory pre-school education; these children are not required to provide proof of compulsory vaccination.

III.

The decision to admit a child with a disability to preschool education is made by the school principal on the basis of a written statement from the school counseling facility or, where applicable, the child's registered physician (Section 34(6) of Act No. 561/2004 Coll., the Education Act, as amended).

IV.

Preference is given to children who will be at least three years of age by August 31, 2026, and who are permanent residents of the municipality.

In the event that the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, the school principal shall establish the following criteria: 

CRITERIA:

1. Age of the child

5 years of age as of August 31, 2026... 4 points
4 years of age as of August 31, 2026... 3 points
3 years of age as of August 31, 2026... 2 points
2 years of age as of August 31, 2026... 1 point
2. Permanent residence in the municipality of Ratiboř – in the relevant school district of the given kindergarten (as of the date of enrollment)… 5 points

3. Residence of the child in the municipality of Ratiboř (as of the date of enrollment)… 4 points

PROCEDURE:

Each applicant (child) will be awarded points for meeting the criteria.
The applicants will be ranked according to the number of points awarded.
Applicants with the same number of points will be further ranked according to their date of birth (from oldest to youngest).

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Information for parents about kindergarten activities

Please submit the completed application for admission to preschool, the completed registration form, the meal application, the authorization to pick up the child, and the informed consent form on the day of registration: April 15, 2026.

Children need the following for kindergarten:

Slippers with a firm heel and non-marking soles; comfortable clothing for the classroom—clothing that the child can get dirty; separate clothing for outdoors—depending on the current weather (children always change clothes); spare clothes and underwear, a raincoat, pajamas, and a cup—can be plastic or ceramic—Everything must be properly labeled!

Operating fee from September 1, 2026, for 1 month = CZK 550

Children who are required to attend preschool, i.e., children who will reach the age of 5 by August 31, 2026, receive preschool education free of charge—they do not pay the operating fee.

Meal prices:   Full-day operation: CZK 50 (CZK 55 for 7-year-olds in the given school year)

                      Operation without afternoon snack: CZK 39 (CZK 44 – 7-year-olds in the given school year)

The meal price increases depending on the price of food.

Information on the functioning of the "Parents' Club" at Ratiboř Nursery School 

Dear parents, if your child is accepted into Ratiboř Nursery School, you become members of the Parents' Club at Ratiboř Nursery School and participate in its activities through personal and financial assistance. The Parents' Club brings together all parents of children at Ratiboř Nursery School. A meeting is held at the beginning of September, where parents nominate and approve the head of the Parents' Club, plan traditional events for children for the 2026/2027 school year, and agree on the amount of the financial contribution, which is used to pay for theater, music, movement, and film performances, excursions, and, in part, transportation.

Your participation in this meeting is necessary and essential!
