Due to the covid restrictions, it was not possible to organize the slaughterhouse last December, so it was moved to the beginning of this year, when the individual restrictions began to be relaxed. The popular slaughterhouse took place unusually on the first Saturday of March in the building of the former Svazarm. In order to prepare all the killer snacks for the Saturday sale, we started production already at the beginning of the week. During Tuesday and Wednesday, we made and canned lanschmites and pâtés, and during these two days we also fried crackers until golden and filled fragrant lard into jars. At the end of the week, we devoted the production of brats, morning glory, intestines, crackling spread, and finally the ovar soup was finished and flavored. The sale of specialties itself began on Saturday, March 5, from 11 a.m. For those interested who came to shop and have fun with dulcimer music, zabijaka plates, roasts, jitrnica prejt, baked intestinal porridge and seasoned zabijaka cabbage were prepared. For the taste buds, homemade donuts sprinkled with sugar were fried. To quench the thirst, there was also liquid refreshment in the form of beer, draft lemonade, and mulled cider was served to warm up. The event was also attended by small vendors offering coffee, tea and cotton candy for children. The magical killer atmosphere was completed by the freshly fallen snow. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success.

Volunteer firefighters, in cooperation with the Municipality of Ratiboř, invite everyone on Saturday, March 5, 2022 to the Firehouse (Svazarm), where the Municipal Slaughterhouse will be held. You can look forward to:

• Pečínka / jitrnice / jelítko with cabbage, tlačenka, prdelačka, homemade lard, zabijačková pate
• Hot ovar, horseradish, mustard, bread
• Cold platter - mutton, pork sausage, lard, crackling
