According to the new Waste Act, in a few years we will have to achieve a sorting rate of over 70%.

Our sorting rate is now 50%. So we still have a long way to go, but we firmly believe that together we will achieve great results and will not be forced to increase our waste charges and, on the contrary, we will save money that we can invest in the promotion of the municipality or cultural events.

We would like to thank you all very much for taking part in the new plastic bag sorting scheme right in your own homes. Currently 39% (270 out of 703) of households are participating! We are extremely pleased with this interest and the fact that you care about the environment and support our municipality in achieving the desired results with your responsible attitude.

For those who have not yet joined the scheme, it is not too late! You can join at any time. Just turn up at the municipal office during office hours and register your household. We will give you free sorting bags and special labels with a QR code containing information about your household and the type of waste. You will then sort paper, plastic, metals and glass into the bags you have received from us.

Once filled, you will stick the QR code labels on the bags. It is very important to make sure that the correct label is put on the bag according to the type of waste before filling the bag. If you stick the label on the bag before it is filled, it may be damaged during handling during collection. The full and labelled bags will then be placed outside your house on the day of collection (see the collection calendar). At the time of collection, a council employee will load your bags into the system, giving the council an overview of your total waste production.

We believe that the bag collection of sorted waste is a great benefit for you as well, because by collecting directly from your door you no longer have to go to the collection nests, but sort in the comfort of your own home.
