Wallachian ensemble KOSISKA
Trip on 19 September 2020 to the Village of the Year of the Moravian-Silesian Region 2019
Even at a time when many events are cancelled due to the worsening epidemiological situation, the Kosiska ensemble set out to experience the 10th anniversary of the Otice Festival. This beautiful event, which took place in Otice - the Village of the Year of the Moravian-Silesian Region 2019, was accompanied by an Indian summer. We were welcomed by a friendly atmosphere in a picturesque village, full of greenery and cabbage heads :-). The local women's choir, with a green accessory in their hair, sang well-known swing tunes, but also the Silesian anthem, which delighted us all. The following program of our Kosáček and Kosáky was a nice contrast and variety. The children performed the program twice, the guys moved from the stage around the village, and later on, when many of the handicraft and craft stallholders were packing up, we were still entertaining the company who wouldn't let us go home. The whole event was of course in the spirit of Otice Cabbage - competitions or practical demonstrations, autumn decorations and greenery, which was complemented by many local producers, large or small.
Even on the bus ride back, the accordions did not hide and a group of Kosáček formed around Míša Děckuláček in the back rows and sang and sang...
Thank you all very much - Kosáček, Kosák, parents, grandparents, wives and other relatives for your support in our "work", the reward of which is just such an event :-).
