František Sokol Tůma's Wallachian play takes us back to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The work is considered a Wallachian cultural treasure.

The rich Wallachian shepherds, Mikulenka and Malina, become enemies for the sake of the border and refuse to give their children permission to marry, so Štěpán is not allowed to marry Malina's daughter Božka and Liduška is not allowed to marry young Malina. Štěpán goes off to war and in time returns blind. Liduška tells her father that she is pregnant with young Malina's child in order to force his permission. Will this break the stubborn father's pride? Will the marriage finally take place? Will the feuding families make peace for the sake of property, or will everything escalate into tragedy...?

This play was performed at the opening of the Rožnov open-air museum in 1925. It will return to Wallachia after 100 years. The Bystřice theatre group CHAOS will celebrate its 40 years of activity with it.

It will be directed by Mr. František Vičan, one of the founding members of CHAOS.
