17 contestants entered the competition. At 7.00 a.m. the fires were ceremoniously lit under the cauldrons. At 12.30 p.m. the mayor finished cooking and the organisers took samples of the goulash from each contestant. The jury had a difficult decision as all the contestants tried to cook the most delicious goulash. Jiří Čala and Kamil Skýpala became the king of the goulash competition. The second place went to the local Andrea Žambochová and Martin Rožnovják. The bronze cookers for the third place went to the Fojt family.

Traditionally, a spring hike was held on the day of the goulash competition. Participants had the opportunity to decide whether to go on a shorter (8 km) or longer and more demanding route (20 km).

Also this year, the visitors of this event had the opportunity to enjoy a rich program of a beautiful sunny day. The following performers took care of the entertainment and accompanying programme: brass band Ořechovjané, Barmanská show, Dareband, Kosáček ensemble, Radka Mrlinová, Minikosovci and the rock band Kosovci played at the evening entertainment. Throughout the afternoon, the event was watched by about 1,500 visitors and the evening entertainment was enjoyed by 470 paying citizens.

Finally, we would like to thank the municipal staff, representatives of the associations and all the activists who contributed to the smooth running of the event.

We hope everyone enjoyed the program and hope to see you again next year behind the fire house for the 19th annual competition.
