Third Bell Weekend of the Agnus Dei Group

On Friday, February 14, the members of the Agnus Dei group gathered for the third bell weekend. The children arrived at the meeting at 4:00 PM and together we prepared bells and mattresses for sleeping. Right at the beginning, the conductor introduced us to the new pieces that we will be practicing and outlined what awaits us in this half-year. The program also included music lessons - we went over the notes and techniques of playing the bells. For dinner, we were treated to an excellent sour cream from Mrs. E. Kamasová. Huge thanks to her for such a wonderful gift - she was right on target again! After dinner, we started an intensive rehearsal. Before the evening bell rehearsal, we managed to play the game Alias, which was new to some of us, but we all had a lot of fun with it. The bell rehearsal took longer than usual, but it was worth it.

Saturday morning began with a hearty "hotel" breakfast, after which we continued practicing new songs.

The children were thrilled with their selection – each had its own unique character and meaning. For lunch we enjoyed pasta salad and then had a quiet time. In the afternoon we again devoted ourselves to the bells – we repeated the pieces and then we transferred everything to the church. We played the selected pieces here with organ accompaniment and singing, which is why a dress rehearsal was needed, which we managed before dinner. For Saturday dinner there could be nothing other than our favorite hot dogs. The evening program was varied and full of fun. First we played “Riskuj” and then we played the game “Párty”, which you may know from the TV show Partička. Laughter and a great mood accompanied us until the evening meal.

Sunday morning began with breakfast and subsequent cleaning of the clubhouse.

At 9:00 a.m. we all went to church together for a service, where five songs were played. Among them, the song "Make me a channel of your peace" stood out, beautifully accompanied by E. Adámková's singing - we thank her very much for this! The final song "Jesus Shall Reign" was accompanied by the organ and the entire choir.

After the service, the final farewell took place at 10:30 a.m. We already know that the children really enjoyed the weekend and are looking forward not only to next year, but also to the upcoming 2025 camp!
