On Thursday, December 5, we were also waiting for St. Nicholas in the team...
The children, dressed in costumes and Christmas accessories, were eagerly, and some a little apprehensively, waiting to see if St. Nicholas would come to our troop. With every ring, the tension grew. To make the wait go faster, we sang, drew pictures, told stories about St. Nicholas, competed and tasted treats from our parents. We finally found the gifts - new toys for the playgroup - in the school gazebo and presents for everyone in the basket behind the door. On the way home, everyone put their message for St. Nicholas in a basket under the Christmas tree by the rectory.
