First, the children dressed up in aprons, some even wore hats, and started working in pairs with gusto. They tried scraping apples, grating, rolling dough and tasting ingredients. Older girls Sofinka and Terezka helped them to prepare and wrap the strudel. And then it was just a matter of waiting for the sweet treat to bake. Gradually we tasted the strudels for the afternoon snack and everyone took a piece home. All the children were very clever, they enjoyed baking and helped with the clean-up.
