We were even on our last walk on October 30th and we ended the trip with a sweet spot in the candy store.

And what did we do when there was no opportunity to get out in the sun? We made autumn decorations with Danka Kovářová, painted greeting cards or decorated gift bags, baked delicious typical autumn desserts such as carrot cakes, layered apple cake, fried apples and St. Martin's rolls and cooked lunch together several times. We received two huge pumpkins from the Garden Club, for which we are very grateful. We immediately processed them into compote and candied pumpkin.

In October we went to the Masaryk Public Library in Vsetín, where the librarians introduced us to unusual musical instruments and our clients were also invited to the Senior Citizens' Day at the DK in Vsetín. On the other hand, we were invited by excellent musicians Zdeněk Drga, Luděk Drlík and Martin Žabčík. We were also visited by the local librarian Alena Vaculíková, exercise instructor Luďka Sovová, Martina Valůšková, with whom each client created their own Christmas candle holder, and pastors and preachers who come to our Bible class. We are very grateful to all these kind visitors for the opportunity to meet with them regularly and for their willingness to return to us regularly over the past year. We hope to continue working together in the new year and look forward to it.

Now with the onset of winter in the run up to Christmas, our activities are changing. We are sitting in the warmth of our home, talking and creating Christmas decorations, cards and small gifts. We are looking forward to baking cookies, listening to the children's performances and singing carols around the tree during Advent.

We would like to expand our team, so we are looking for volunteers, someone who would like to fill their free time with meaningful work and occasionally like to sit with us, talk and help. Our residential home is a joyful place and over the past year we have created many wonderful things and enriched each other. Believe that the good mood and smiles of our clients is a beautiful reward.         

Therefore, we wish not only our clients, but also all of you, that your health and good mood will not leave you in 2024.
