Ratiboř

Do you also think the summer holidays have gone by so quickly? Holidays are a time of rest and, for some, idleness. At our magnolia stationary in Ratibora, we enjoyed taking advantage of the nice summer weather to walk and sit in the garden. But we certainly weren't idle! In the kitchen, we baked good buns, cooked fruit dumplings, and prepared delicious jellyfish and lavender syrup, refreshing lemonade, pudding and ice cream sundaes, and elderflower liqueur.

Exercise and training, both of our memory and our body, are among our daily constants. We are delighted to remember all the work we did in the garden and the orchard and to remember it while tending to the raised beds. These are already bearing their first fruit - in our case, more of the vegetables we are trying to process. From zucchini we baked a bun, loaded the chalamada and fried the crisps, made ketchup from tomatoes, and podravka from celery and leeks. We also dried mushrooms and made a fry-up. And thanks to the boys from the municipal office, we got the branches of the lime tree up to our hands, so we could turn the lime blossom into tea.

Thanks to all the guests who came to visit and cheer us up despite their busy holiday schedules - lecturer Mrs Ludmile Sova, librarians Mrs. Alena Vaculíková and Mrs. Jana Vaculíková Pišťáková and parishioners and preachers from the surrounding area. Several of our clients celebrated their birthdays during the summer months, it was a pleasure for us to welcome Mrs. Tamara Juchelkova and Pavlína Ferdicsová, so we thank them and the municipal authority for coming to wish each senior person personally.

Perhaps the most popular with our clients is sitting with songs. Special thanks to Mr. Luďek Drlík, who played the guitar for us, Mr. Mayor Martin Žabčík and Michal Děckuláček, who are great harmonicists. Our songs together flowed all over the lower end of Ratibora.
