Ratiboř

We got out for a walk and took advantage of the weather to sit outside. We were also able to plant raised beds, which were made by the municipality of Ratiboř and the seedlings were donated by Mrs. Daňová from Jablůnky.

The programme in June was again varied. On the 1st of June, International Children's Day, in the residential home we jogged our memory and remembered the names of all our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and on the last day of June we remembered our school years and our school report cards. We also spent the month decorating pots in which we later planted flowers, painted mugs and pebbles, painted spatulas and painted frames. We practiced our memory whether it was taking the popular AZ quiz, learning about famous people or doing crossword puzzles.  But very often we also exercised the body, for example, during the scarf exercise.

We didn't let the aprons in the kitchen go idle either. Each week we put them to the test by making goodies like rhubarb pie, elderflower soda and syrup or strawberry dumplings. As a treat for our lovely guests, we loaded up on cheese.

The librarian Alena Vaculíková came to visit and read the book in June. We made a beautiful summer arrangement with Mrs. Martina Valůšková, we exercised with the lecturer Ludmila Sovová and sang with Mr. Zdeněk Drga on the guitar. Every Tuesday we bow our heads in prayer and meditation on the Bible during Bible class with local preachers. Many thanks to all of these who visit us regularly.

The icing on the imaginary June cake for everyone was certainly the meeting with the clients of the Magnolia Residential Center from Vsetín and sitting down to the accordion with the mayor of Ratiboř Martin Žabčík. The meeting was held in a friendly spirit. For lunch we cooked a soup with noodles made by our clients and grilled meat and sausage. It was fun. We all sang beautifully, some of us even danced. During this meeting, the director of Charity Vsetín, Mrs. Jarmila Hyžáková, was presented with the proceeds from the fundraising event "Voice for Hope", which was organized by the municipality of Ratiboř together with the Morava Elementary School of Art. Thanks to both organizers for the realization of this event. The performing children and their teachers gave breathtaking performances and kept playing until 10 pm. The money raised will be used to run the Magnolia Residential Home in Ratibor.
