The traditional sports games for seniors were not organized after the recommendation of the regional hygiene department. As soon as the disease situation allowed, we again met in interest groups for joint activities, both in the club premises of the old rectory and during garden meetings and trips to the surroundings. Even our advanced age has not prevented us from using the exercise equipment at the old rectory and practising yoga again. Our members regularly participate in regional events organized by the Council of Senior Citizens in Zlín. A three-member mixed team consisting of J. Sklenská, M. Dančák, M. Valchářová with a substitute A. Kulhánková represented our village in the petanque competition organized by the Zlín Region on 27 August 2020 under the name Senior Cup 2000 in Luhačovice. In the competition of 42 teams we made it to the final among the 6 best. Our strength was not enough to win the tournament. Even so, we were happy to settle for the potato medal behind the teams from Luhačovice and Valašské Klobouk and the men from Lideček. The question mark of Covid-19 infection is again hovering over the organisation of other events such as the Grandmother of the Year etc. We hope that the second wave of the coronavirus will not interrupt our activities for the rest of the year.
