Ratiboř benches

Beautiful view of the distant southeastern ridge of the Hostýn Hills.

On the left is Křížový (670 m), followed by Ratibořský Grůň (678 m), then Drastihlava (695 m). Even higher, but already in Hošťálková, is Humenec (703 m).

According to the map, the next lower ridge is called Dvorce (in local terminology Zadní Dvorca). In Červeny there is a hunting ground with a hut and a dance floor. The municipality of Ratiboř is gradually revitalising this area. The name of this locality is due to the red clay found here. The private pond in the Red Valley, north of the village, has a water surface area of approximately 0.45 ha.

The beauty of our Wallachia region has inspired many artists. Even Metoděj Jahn (1865-1942) expressed his admiration for it.

Standing on the hillside in the morning,
overlooking the distant mountain range,
listening to the woods howl,
a mysterious conversation flows.

In the valley the mountains in the distance run,
rubies, fragrant groves,
With resin and dew fresh
Breathes the distant space.

Hey, this is my beloved land
There's beauty in it and God's peace.
Where she has her rolls, her poor looms
So good and clever are my people.

I hardly see you, dear country,
my chest heaves with joy.
My hand reaches for my hat,
My Wallachia, hail!
