Ratiboř

20 teams entered the competition and at 7.00 a.m. they started their competition with the ceremonial lighting of the cauldrons. This year we were forced to change our beef supplier. We approached Jan Černocký's butcher shop. This supplier stood up to his good name and delivered meat of first class quality, properly aged and without much trimming. This gave the competitors a level playing field in the preparation of the stew and plenty of time to finish and season the meat as it was tender very early on. At 13.00 the results of the competition were announced (see below).

In the morning the atmosphere was enhanced by the KVAS dulcimer music from Kateřinice, we were visited by Barman from Zlín
with his new show, followed by the christening of a new transport car of our emergency unit. Afterwards, Iron Zekon dazzled with his strength and amazed everyone with his stunts in the hour-long program. After that, the costumed Kosáček filled the stage with their play Na grandfather. The children were also supported by three dancing couples of adults and a male choir Kosáci. The late afternoon was filled with the band Minikosovci, who prepared the audience for the evening entertainment, which traditionally featured the Kosovci band. For the children there was a bouncy castle, paintball, shooting range and a chain carousel.

This year the weather was also favourable for the Spring Hike, with about 450 participants. The routes were chosen on the opposite side of Ratiboř than in previous years and the hikers could see the village from the highest peaks of Drastihlava and Křížový. The short route was also designed for strollers and passed through the arboretum in Semetín.
