Village of the Year 2018 - Zlín Region - overview of results and awards :

1)Golden ribbon (for winning the regional round) - Dolní Němčí
The Golden Ribbon was awarded to the municipality for its intensive approach to the village renewal, for the long-term support and maintenance of folk traditions and their presentation, for an active and rich cultural and sports life, for exemplary maintenance and development of green areas in the intravilan and extravilan of the municipality and for the varied association activities in the field of breeding, agriculture and hunting.

2)White ribbon (for youth activities) - Ratiboř

3)Green Ribbon (for care of greenery and the environment) - Velehrad
The Green Ribbon was awarded to the municipality for its innovative design of public areas in the municipality. The municipality of Velehrad advances to the national round, which is sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment.

4)Orange Ribbon (for cooperation between the municipality and an agricultural entity) - Neubuz
The Orange Ribbon was awarded to the municipality for its cooperation in the development of the production of local products, folk crafts, traditions and for its overall cooperation in the agri-environmental development of the municipality.

Diploma for modern library and information services - Dolní Němčí
Diploma for exemplary keeping of the municipal chronicle - Velehrad
Diploma for maintaining folk traditions - Rajnochovice

Golden Brick Diploma in Category A - Komárno (for revitalisation of the cemetery area)
Golden Brick Diploma in category B - Velehrad (for the Velehrad House of St. Cyril and Methodius)
Golden Brick Diploma in category C - Podolí (for the Podolí Spiritual and Relaxation Area)

Hope for a Living Countryside Award - Machová
The municipality won the award for the active approach of associations and local organisations to leisure activities. The municipality of Machová is advancing to the national round, sponsored by the Union of Local Authorities of the Czech Republic.

Special awards
Osíčko (for its active approach to youth work)
Poličná (for strategic financing of the municipality's projects)
Skaštice (for its exemplary approach to promoting sport)
Vítonice (for strategic approach to village development)

The evaluation committee also awarded the prize ofPersonality of the Rural Renewal Programme in the Zlín Region to Mr.Pavel Podškubka, for his creative approach in building environmental measures.
