Summary men A + B

On Sunday 16th June 2019 our men's competitions in the 2018/2019 season ended. For the A-team, after a successful spring 2018, we entered this season with the ambition to play in the top half of the table of the 1st B class of the regional competition. However, like other clubs, we have struggled throughout the season with the loss of our own youngsters, mostly related to their departure to colleges or other schools outside our region or transfers to other sports. During the winter preparation, which we entered with less than eleven players, we at least managed to arrange the return of Karel Machala from Vsetín, the transfer of Petr Hrabic from Kateřinice in exchange for Roman Machala to Kateřinice, the extension of the transfer of goalkeeper Ladi Sedlak from Velké Karlovice and the gradual integration of our promising youth player Ondra Makyč into the team. The lack of players and the instability of the starting line-up is most evident from the fact that coach Jaryn Kulhaj called up a total of 23 players for individual matches. As in the autumn, we had to help ourselves with players from the B-team, which our reserve, which last season deservedly won promotion to the third class of the district competition, then of course paid for it by often coming to their matches without substitutes and with players aged 40 years and above, which translated into poor results and placement in the final last place in the table.

Fortunately, in the second half of the spring at least the A-team managed to stabilize the line-up and with a string of 4 wins in a row in the last 4 matches, they managed to win the final and deserved 11th place, which is even an improvement of 1 place compared to last season. Therefore, on behalf of the executive committee of our club I would like to thank the coach, manager and all the players of the "A" team for a great ride at the end of the season, the players and the implementation team of the "B" team for prioritizing and helping "A", the chicks from the cell and the ogres from the smokehouse for the great refreshments during home games and all our fans for their patience and support even in the less successful games.
