District Town. In it, an old hotel. And a reasonably priced room. In that room, an aging comedian. Aging - but fit! He's just returned from his polished show that audiences love so much. The best sketches! True, the brilliants are dated, but they still sparkle, so the audience's mouths and diaphragms still ache with laughter.
The comedian is in fine form, but the end of his career is near. It happens to everyone. Whether you're a pilot or a surgeon. It's a time of recapping, saying goodbye and leaving. How will he handle it? What's his final mega-joke?
Over the course of the evening, nine characters visit our friend. Through them, he will revisit his life, examine his character, discover himself in a new light, and above all, try and test his best sketches, jokes and gags.
