A festive event took place in the Ratiboř library – the passing of 1st grade pupils as readers. After a year-long introduction to letters and the first books, the moment came when the first-graders symbolically became real readers.
The festive atmosphere was underlined by the visit of a knight, who made the children readers after taking the reading oath. There was also the deputy mayor, who congratulated the first-graders on their success and wished them that reading would accompany them throughout their lives.
We believe that the library will become a place full of adventure, fantasy and discovering new stories for children.
