Ratiboř

On Friday 24th May we took part in the 11th edition of the Ctibor Čermák Memorial in our sister village Hluboké Mašůvky.

Our pupils measured their strength in the traditional conscription race. The school assembled two mixed teams of four pupils of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. The children performed various disciplines divided into seven stations. The race tested their knowledge and skills in the following areas: 1. we love the Czech Republic, 2. throwing a grenade at a target, 3. mathematical and literacy, 4. knocking down cans with water, 5. recognizing plants and trees, 6. health science, 7. shooting an air rifle. Our teams took 4th and 5th place.

The event was also an opportunity to celebrate 100 years since the opening of the building of the Primary and Kindergarten School in Hlubokie Mašůvky. The afternoon program was enriched by roasting of sausages in the pleasant environment of the school garden. The evening performance of the dance group Mighty Shake from Znojmo contributed to the good mood.

The next day we went on a trip to the beautiful historic town of Znojmo. In Znojmo we had a train ride of about an hour and a half, during which we admired the most important monuments and the most beautiful corners of this city.

The trip was a wonderful experience for all participants. Thank you to all the organizers for a beautifully prepared event and I look forward to seeing you again.
