By his decision published in the Collection of Laws under No.147/2024 Coll., dated 12 June 2024, the President of the Czech Republic announced elections to the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in electoral district No.77, based in Vsetín. The dates of the elections are set for 20 September 2024 and 21 September 2024. A possible second round of elections will take place one week later, i.e. on 27 September 2024 and 28 September 2024.

The Vsetín Municipal Office, as the designated municipal authority in the seat of the constituency, performs electoral operations for constituency No. 77, located in Vsetín, and in accordance with Section 13(1)(b) of Act No. 247/1995 Coll., on elections to the Parliament of the Czech Republic and on amendments and supplements to certain other acts, in
as amended, is the registration authority.

Registered political parties, political movements whose activities have not been suspended and coalitions may register candidates for the Senate elections only through a proxy. An independent candidate shall apply for registration himself.

The application for registration shall be submitted no later than 16.7.2024 at 16.00 on Tuesday. The deadline under the Act on Elections to the Parliament of the Czech Republic cannot be extended or waived.
