On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, we welcomed a member of the project team from our partner city Kranj (Slovenia)...
The visit took place as part of the evaluation visits of the Be Ready project, which aims to share experiences between European cities and municipalities in the field of climate change adaptation. The visit included a tour of the bioclimatic bus stop installed in the center of Racibórz.
This innovative measure combines blue, green, and white acupuncture elements, which together contribute to improving the microclimate in the municipality, promote sustainable water management, and enhance the quality of public space for residents and visitors.
- Representatives of the municipality presented the entire process of creating the measure – from mapping the area and collecting data using residents' perception maps, through design and implementation, to collecting feedback, which is currently still ongoing in the form of this questionnaire.
- A representative of the supplier company Fairteco explained the principle of how the bioclimatic bus stop and adiabatic cooling work and the vision for their use in urban furniture implementations.
- A representative of the partner institution STUBA (Slovak University of Technology) presented data from meteorological devices installed in Ratiboř and their connection to the implemented measures.
The meeting enabled the sharing of experiences between experts and representatives of local governments and strengthened cooperation in the field of sustainable adaptation of settlements to climate change.
