The stream bed is being completely dug out and modified to return it to its original watercourse. The newly defined banks are being reinforced with wire gabions filled with crushed stone from the Hošťálková quarry. This modification will ensure greater stability and protection against erosion. At the same time, the adjacent gardens of the family houses are being modified and filled in so that the reconstruction affects normal operations as little as possible. The surrounding land will be restored to its original condition.

There have been long-term problems with the erosion of the Kobelanka riverbed and damage to the bank reinforcement in Na sušírnu Street. At the same time, the water threatens adjacent gardens and family houses. As part of the construction, the bank reinforcement will be modified from the weir at the Palů family's property, where the Kobelanka flows between the gardens.
The banks will be reinforced with gabions, and stone steps will be placed in the stream bed. The existing stream bed has eroded several meters of land from the adjacent gardens. The modification will restore the stream bed to its original state and to the plot owned by the municipality. The construction work is also a flood prevention measure that will protect the gardens and family houses adjacent to the stream in the future. Modifying the stream in this location will be very difficult, as access to the bed is limited. SWIETELSKY stavební s.r.o. offered the lowest price in the tender. The project will be implemented for a total amount of CZK 6,807,053 including VAT. We will receive a subsidy of 70% of this amount.
Our municipality faces damage to property due to flash floods or flooding practically every year. The last very severe flood was in September last year. The Ministry of Regional Development regularly issues calls for subsidies for the repair of municipal property after floods. Thanks to these calls, we have already managed to repair many local roads and bridges in recent years.
