On the eve of the Feast of the Dead – All Souls' Day, the members of our hunting association met at the local cemetery to remember their deceased friends. Since 1948, when the modern history of our association began, a total of 38 members have left for eternal hunting grounds. Each of them has left a significant mark in our hunting family – whether it was selfless and honest work for nature and hunting, or their unforgettable cheerful nature, friendly spirit and apt humorous sayings that will put a smile on our faces even today. They are not just names on the list for us, but they still remain a fixed part of our association.
The commemorative act itself was carried out in a dignified and touching atmosphere. The meeting began at dusk, when the cemetery was illuminated by the warm light of lit torches, which gave the whole evening an exceptional and mysterious character. The silence of the autumn evening was immediately resounded by the tones of the forester and the festive Halali, which made it clear that hunting honor, friendship and respect do not end even with departure to eternal hunting grounds. Subsequently, the chairman of our association took the floor, who reminded us of the value of human belonging in an emotional speech and read the names of all 38 deceased members. At the end of the meeting, we lit candles together on the graves of our predecessors and colleagues as a permanent symbol of the fact that we still remember them with respect and gratitude.
Honor to their memory!
