Ratiboř

The summer has started, the season has begun and the competitions are ready to go. Our men's team is successfully taking first place and taking home countless trophies, which of course is not the end of the story. The biggest success is again the 2nd place in the Wallachian Firefighters League.

In July, we participated in a summer sports camp, where the children had firefighting training, followed by cooling down with a syringe.

In August, on 3 August 2019, came the expected day - the celebration of the 130th anniversary of the founding of SDH Ratiboř. 28 members of the corps and 61 guests gathered. We started at 8.00 a.m. with a wake-up call, started by our bugler on a horse-drawn carriage. From 9.00 a.m. the guests arrived at the municipal office, where they were received by the mayor of the village. At 10.00 am there was a festive parade through the village from the football field to the church. After the service, we honoured the memory of the deceased members at the cemetery by laying a bouquet and moved on to a solemn meeting at the agricultural cooperative.

The program continued at the firehouse, where an exhibition of firefighting equipment was prepared, the firefighters from Vsetín demonstrated the rescue from the car and the Kamasovci dulcimer band played to make the day more pleasant. From 8 p.m. the athletes organized a dance party with the Reflexy group and ended a successful day.

In September we had a presentation of the choir on the occasion of the 2019 Village of the Year competition. We enjoyed the day, but also the committee, as the village came in a beautiful 2nd place.
