Ratiboř

Dear sports friends,

In the summer, there were some major changes in football in Ratiboř, which I would like to introduce to you and explain the reasons why the executive committee of TJ made these changes.

In the past season, our ogres from the A - team managed, after the spoiled autumn part, a great spring and compared to last season they even improved by one place in the overall final position, and thus saved for the next season the 1.B class of the Regional competition of the Zlin region. Huge thanks to all of us, especially to coach Jaryn Kulhaj, who with his passion and belief in victory in the last hits managed to encourage the ogres to great performances. How important was the rescue of 1.B class, it turned out later.

Unfortunately, the ogres from the B-team, who were promoted to Class III of the district competition last year, were not so successful and although they fought bravely, they ended up in last place and were relegated back to Class IV.

After the end of the season we had a committee meeting to decide what path to take next. To continue to play mostly with our own, especially young players, many of whom finished or interrupted their football careers last season for various reasons, to combine the A and B teams, to play for the bottom of the table in the 1B class, or to start again with a combined team in the District Championship? We didn't want to sadden our fans and decided to look for more positive options to continue in a better competition and keep both teams. One of such options was contacting the neighbouring club FC Semetín again in order to establish mutual cooperation, which was unsuccessful in the spring, but after the season proved to be actual - fortunately, even in Semetín they realized that in the time of the general decline of football players in the whole country, even a strong sponsor is not a guarantee of a sufficient number of quality players. Therefore, thanks to Jury Mynarik's good contacts in Semetín, we entered into negotiations with FC Semetín at the beginning of July (here it became clear how important it was for us to be saved in the 1st NB ) and the result was the conclusion of an agreement (for one season so far) on mutual cooperation between the two clubs with the following specific outcomes:

1. - The merger of both A teams and the registration of the merged team in the 1.B class under the name Ratiboř (the agreement was reached after the competition draw, so other than the withdrawal of one of the teams from the competition even at the cost of a penalty was technically impossible). The coaches of the A team were Vít'a Sacher and Mira Kamas from Semetín. Home field in Ratiboř.

2. - Establishment of a reserve A team under the name Semetín/Ratiboř combined team with home ground in Semetín and its registration in the IV. class. The coach is Mira Kamas.

3. - In order to deepen the cooperation, both clubs agreed to play one match each in autumn and spring
A team in Semetín and B team in Ratibor.

Both sides are of course aware of the pitfalls and risks of cooperation. We are working together to work around the various frictional surfaces that arise due to historically different practices in both clubs, and we believe that this project will be successful and survive more than one football season. In our opinion, this is the only way to maintain quality football in both villages.

Finally, I would like to thank all the fans and sponsors for their support so far, especially the Municipality of Ratiboř, TM Stav, now effectively a local businessman Mr. Tlasek (main sponsor of the men) and the Říha Group, a local businessman Mr. Říha (main sponsor of the youth) and we hope that our sponsors will continue their support, which I hope our oga players will support with quality results on the pitch.
