Ratiboř

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the 2nd year of the Jiří Mynařík Memorial took place on the local football field. Due to the ongoing installation of automatic irrigation, the date of the tournament had to be postponed by three weeks in advance, which unfortunately affected the participation of individual teams. In the end, we decided to improvise and in addition to the team of old gentlemen Hošťálková, they also put together two home selections of Ratiboř. As it was said with a smile in the cabin, the players set up like in school, they calculated for the first and second and two teams were born.

The tournament was played in a round-robin system in the format of 5 + 1 small football, with each match lasting 2 × 15 minutes. The results were not the most important thing this time. The main goal was to meet former players, have fun together, sit down after the tournament, and above all to remember Jiří, a great person and friend who we all still miss very much. Not one of his unforgettable catchphrases was missing, and after the traditional "ňuňánek", everyone toasted to his memory with a smile.

From the sporting point of view, the old lords of Hošťálek took the first place, winning over Ratiboří I with a ratio of 5:1 and over Ratiboří II with a result of 5:2. The second place was decided by a mutual duel of home teams, in which Ratiboř II defeated Ratiboř I with a score of 5:3.
The second year of the memorial thus reaffirmed that the greatest value of such events is not trophies or results, but friendship, shared memories and meetings of people who were united by Jiří's personality.
