The revitalisation of the village square started in the summer months and is expected to be completed by 30 October 2019.
The parking lot in front of the municipal office building has already been repaired, the pedestrian walkway in front of the parking lot has been completed and the green beds have been landscaped. New paving is being laid in front of the cinema, which is very sensitively changing the appearance of our village square. Three lime trees have been planted to bring greenery back into the centre. This idea was conceived in view of the historic name of Pod Lipkama. In the same way, the area of the bus stop in the direction of Vsetín will be paved. The entire bus stop building has been given a new coat of paint, the old tiles have been removed and new LED lighting has been installed. The newsagents have been removed and will be replaced by additional display cabinets. At the same time, LED lighting was installed at crosswalks and crossing points to improve pedestrian safety. A covered bus stop has been installed at the cinema, which has been missing for years. Subsequently, planters will be installed in the area in front of the cinema to provide as much greenery as possible in the centre of the village. The project for the revitalization of the village square was designed by ac. arch. Libor Sost'ák, who is also supervising its implementation. The construction is financed from the reward in the last round of the Village of the Year 2018, when we received a financial reward of 600 000,- CZK for winning the White Ribbon in the regional round. In total, the reconstruction will cost CZK 1 094 309,-. The contractor is the company of Mr. Pavel Hurta from Ratibor.
