The award ceremony took place on October 14, 2026 as part of the XXV. Regional Conference on Environmental Education, Education and Awareness at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. The conference was attended by approximately 160 teachers, experts and other people interested in environmental education. In this year's 26th year, all 26 nominations in ten categories were awarded. The mayor of our municipality, Martin Žabčík, was also among the awardees.
Every year, the EVVO Award draws attention to individuals, schools, organizations and representatives of public administration who participate in nature conservation, environmental education and a responsible approach to the environment. The mayor of the municipality of Ratiboř, Martin Žabčík, was awarded for his contribution to the development of environmental education, education and awareness (EVVO) in the Zlín Region for 2026. He received the award in the category "Public Administration or Politician".
The award is also a reminder of the importance of the work of municipalities in the field of the environment, landscape care and sustainable development.
