While preparing a study for the reconstruction of the post office and information center, the idea arose to connect our court architect Libor Sošťák with his son Libor...
We were inspired by the idea that both could realize their vision in one space. And so Libor, an award-winning Wallachian architect and academic painter, designed the space, including the furnishings. His son Libor, who runs a joint design studio with his wife called P3L1 www.p3l1.shop, designed a glass installation called ZVONKY (Bells) for the central space. The inspiration for this glass variation was the municipal coat of arms, or rather the bells in it and our municipal colors of blue and white. After several consultations, both artists came up with a final design that immediately caught our attention. After a few minor adjustments, the bells were sent to the SUPŠ glassworks in Valašské Meziříčí for production. The author himself then installed the piece with the help of his father.
This resulted in a unique combination, where both father and son were able to realize their vision in one place. This gave the ZVONKY installation added value. It is a work of art with a story that embodies two generations of Ratiboř patriots.
When you go to the post office to pick up a package, direct your gaze to the center of the room as soon as you enter and feast your eyes.
