Ratiboř

The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, with the support of the Olomouc Region, the city of Olomouc, and many sponsors.

The judging panel included Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic Ing. Marián Jurečka, Deputy Governors of the Olomouc Region JUDr. Milan Škurek and Ing. Monika Hrazdilová, Mayor of the City of Olomouc Mgr. Miroslav Žbánek, Chairwoman of the Council of Seniors of the Czech Republic Ing. Lenka Desatová, representatives of individual regions of the Czech Republic, television stations, and other guests. Tomáš Magnusek and Tomáš Čvančara hosted the entire competition and kept the contestants in good spirits. Stanislav Hložek provided the musical entertainment.

Thirteen winners of the regional rounds of the competition took part in this year's event. Prague apologized for its absence. One of the founding members of our Ratiboř Senior Club, Mrs. Jaruše Háhnová, was nominated for the Zlín Region, and even at the age of 86, she gave a breathtaking performance on stage. Her sister, Svatava Juchelková, also a member of our senior club, supported her during part of her presentation.

All the contestants gave high-quality performances. The senior contestants prepared their own products, photographs, various costumes, exercises, singing, dancing, and cheerful dancing on stage for their presentations. They mentioned their life achievements and goals. One of the contestants even boasted about her entries in the Guinness Book of Records.

Our Jaruška won everyone over with her spontaneity and modesty, and when she sang Wallachian songs, the hall fell silent in awe. The applause that followed was endless. More than twenty members of the jury agreed on her victory. She deservedly won the golden crown of Grandmother of the Year 2025 and, newly, Visegrad Grandmother of the Year 2025. She received flowers and valuable gifts from sponsors from the hands of the minister and other members of the jury. Among the most valuable gifts was a trip to Vietnam from the Senior Travel travel agency. Second place went to Mrs. Zoja Chramostová from the Moravian-Silesian Region, and the bronze crown was won by Mrs. Dana Vaníková from Plzeň. For the home Olomouc Region, the Grandmother of Sympathy award was won by 94-year-old Mrs. Miroslava Fremlová.

This year's competition was rated by the general public as one of the best, and the participating grandmothers took home not only beautiful prizes, but also unforgettable experiences.

Jaruše Háhnová deserves heartfelt congratulations from the Ratiboř Municipal Council, the Ratiboř Senior Citizens' Club, and all the citizens of the municipality for her award and lifetime achievement.
