On 16 June, excavation work began on the construction of a new grandstand at the local football pitch. The work is taking place in the upper part of the pitch next to the football changing rooms, where wooden benches used to stand. Municipal machinery was used for the groundwork, in cooperation with an excavator and two Tatra trucks from Hošťálková. Almost 100 fully loaded Tatra trucks of soil were removed from the excavations for the foundations.
The grandstand will be built from a total of 276 concrete blocks, which are being cast directly on site – on the asphalt area below the football pitch – into pre-prepared metal moulds. These blocks will then be placed on a concrete foundation. For the comfort of spectators, wooden boards for seating will be screwed onto the structure.
A drainage system will be installed behind the rear wall of the grandstand – plastic pipes for draining groundwater. The entire area behind the grandstand will be covered with macadam to ensure proper drainage.
The new grandstand will measure 4.80 × 37.20 metres, which will significantly improve comfort and facilities for spectators. The total cost of the construction is CZK 1,975,930. Half of this amount is covered by a subsidy from the Zlín Region, and the other half is financed from the municipal budget. The contractor for the construction is Megabeton from Pardubice. The entire grandstand should be completed within a month.
After completion of the construction, the panels that were temporarily placed on the grass surface of the pitch to allow better access for heavy machinery will be removed. New turf will then be laid in places where the grass has been damaged.
We believe that the new grandstand will increase the attractiveness of the sports complex and will serve not only football fans but also the entire community during various social events.
