Feeling maps – evaluation

As part of the Be Ready project, we asked you to fill out a feeling map – How do you feel in our town during hot days?

In the first half of June, a survey was conducted among the residents of Ratiboř, focusing on their perception of thermal comfort in public spaces. A total of 100 respondents across all age groups and professional categories took part, 54% of whom were women.

What did the survey reveal?

The most popular places for refreshment and leisure are locations with plenty of greenery and natural shade.
On the other hand, places where people do not feel comfortable in summer were identified, typically due to overheating and a lack of shaded areas.
Respondents also suggested locations where the municipality could improve conditions for spending time outdoors on hot days.

The results of this survey are a valuable basis for planning future modifications to public spaces with the aim of improving their quality and adapting them to the needs of residents, even during extreme temperatures.
